Depeche Mode formed back in 1980 and has been going strong ever since. They have released 14 studio albums and sold over 100 million records worldwide. It was no surprise that their San Diego appearance sold out as they have a massive fan following and are as popular now as they ever have been.
The band sounded great, and while the lighting was a little blue for most (all) of the first song, this was a really fun shoot in a pretty full photo pit. Dave Gahan staked around the stage, all the time belting out new songs and the greatest hits. All images were shot with the Nikon D4 and D750 with the 24-70 and 70-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor lenses.
Among the best, if not the best, shots I’ve seen from their current tour.
