It is not often that I get to photograph the same artist numerous times on the same tour. It usually only happens when I am working directly with the band. That all changed when Alan Jackson played at the Valley View Casino Center, where I am the house photographer, and then went to play at the Laughlin Event Center, who hired me as their house photographer.

The goals for both shoots were the same, capture the show and the venue in the best possible light. The photo rules for both shows were the same, I could either shoot from the soundboard or up front, but what worked best for both of these shows was to shoot from both the soundboard AND up front. This meant switching lenses and moving forward after the first song. Shooting the second song up close and then for the Laughlin Event Center getting all the to the back of the venue for the full venue images. All this meant a lot of running around, switching lenses, and hoping for great lights.

The gear for these shows was the same, The Nikon D4 and D750 camera bodies along with the 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 and 400mm f/2.8 lenses.
