Back in 2009 I was invited to be an instructor at Photoshop World in Las Vegas. It was an amazing experience for me. I was surrounded by photographers, designers, and Photoshop experts that I had admired for years. These were the folks I looked up to, the people who inspired me, the people who motivated me. I still remember sitting at the keynote next to Joe McNally and Jay Maisel, just awestruck that I was teaching alongside these guys. A couple of years later, I was asked to turn the Concert Photography class that Scott Diussa and I teach into a class for Kelby Training. We flew out to Florida and filmed for three days putting together the only online class on concert photography out there.
At the 2013 Photoshop World in Las Vegas, they got the Kelby Instructors who were there teaching together for a group portrait. I look at this photo and feel so honored to be included in this group of photographers, this group of industry leaders, this group of friends. Each and every one of these folks has influenced, inspired and motivated me to be a better photographer,teacher and person.
