Thursday afternoon at the San Diego convention center and the crowds have increased. After seeing the Twilight stars paraded out to the TV media I realized that the best place to get any photos would be at the panels. I made my way over to Ballroom B, the 2nd largest room at the convention for the  Entertainment Weekly: Wonder Women: Female Power Icons in Pop Culture— conversation with Sigourney Weaver(Avatar), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost), and Zoe Saldana (Avatar) and  Eliza Dushku (Dollhouse).

And the rules had changed again. We were allowed to shoot from a sitting position because suddenly the staff was afraid that the 6 press photographers would cause the rest of 5000 + attendees to rush forward and try to take photos as well. So we were relegated to some of the empty studio seats that were in the front right of the hall.

I did manage to get a spot next to the video camera man in the center aisle.

Then came the tap on my shoulder and it was time to find a seat but the room was full with all the empty seats being held for folks either in the restroom or in line outside. Even though this was technically  frowned upon, it seemed that the staff was more concerned that rabid fans would rush the stage.

That is when i made the big mistake. I left the room. when I tried to get back in for the next panel I was told I needed to stand in the line. Press be dammed. And what a line it was. It snaked around the outside of the convention center in a serpentine path that made it impossible to see exactly how far you were from getting into the room.

I did manage to walk into the press room for the interviews with the cast of USA networks Burn Notice, well, not the main cast.

After these few shots I was tired of waiting in lines, not having any information on where I was and wasn’t allowed to shoot, so I went down to the Comic Con floor. It was good to see that the fans still dressed up and that there were still one or two COMIC related tables in the Hall.
