I’m back from Photoshop World in Las Vegas and it was amazing. Gather the top photoshop gurus along with some of the worlds best photographers, add in 3000 eager attendees, mix in a little Vegas madness and you have Photoshop World 2009.

For most folks, Photoshop World or PSW started with the Keynote address. Others started a day earlier with one of the pre conference workshops, but more on that later.

The keynote was setup as a live football halftime show with the Photoshop Guys as the hosts. There were great commercials and locker room interviews. You can see the commercials at Dave Cross’s Blog HERE.

The highlight of the keynote address was the presentation by Adobe showing what “might” be coming out in the next version of Photoshop. This included a new way that paint and color is mixed when painting and a new brush engine that uses some fancy math to recreate the individual bristles. Very cool stuff. You can see the new technologies shown HERE.

After the Keynote, it was class time. I will cover the classes I took and taught in a later post.

After class time, I headed up to the Expo floor to check out some of the great extra. These included seeing Matt K. do a presentation at the Kelby Training / Peachpit booth and catching Joe McNally doing a live shoot of the infamous Vanelli.

Speaking of Vanelli, I managed to capture him and buddy Mike K. at the Metal Murals booth were they kindly posed for a quick photograph.

After grabbing a quick bite to eat, I headed back to take a quick class before heading over to the After Hours Party.

The after hours party is up next.
