Last week was the final show of the 2012 Humphreys Concert season here in San Diego. Needtobreathe closed the season in style and put on a really fun show. They also had one of the best lines that I have ever heard from a band describing the venue. “We have never played a Yacht club before..” Yes, Humphreys can seem exactly like a yacht club… since it is right up against a marina.
The lighting started out with extreme backlighting, but kicked into high gear during song two with great light show and fun old fashioned type writer background. On the downside, most of the lighting was provided by the new LED lights, which are tough to shoot under.
All photos taken with a Nikon D4 and D700 with the 70-200mm and 24-70mm lenses and Hoodman CF 1000x cards.
