Heavy metal legends ACCEPT have a new album coming out this summer called Blind Rage. They are also getting ready to hit the road throughout Europe and Australia. This last weekend they made it out to the West Coast to shoot a new music video. I am not going to tell you the song, or the actual location, or anything about how the video was shot. What I can tell you now is that it is going to rock. I was part of a very talented group that gathered early in the morning to begin a long day of shooting this last Saturday. My job was to get some behind the scenes stills and maybe a band shot or two.
I will be posting a lot more photos after the video is released but for right now I just want to give you a small, very small, taste of what it was like. The only thing that the photos can’t really depict is how cold it was, especially when the wind kicked in. At one point I lost feeling in my finger tips and was having a tough time feeling the shutter release button.
I shot everything with my Nikon D4 and D700 camera bodies with the 24-70mm and the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens combo. The only time I didn’t use the 24-70mm was when the production crew needed to use it for a second camera. A huge thanks to ACCEPT ( Wolf Hoffmann, Peter Baltes, Herman Frank, Stefan Schwarzmann and Mark Tornillo), Scott Diussa, Greg Aronowitz (director) Jeff Winkler and David Blass (Producers) Lan Bui (Director of Photography) Dave Foley, Jesse Navarro, Eric Parkin, Clemens Fischer, Misa Garcia, Anna Akana, Will Akana, Keri Palmeto, and Red 5.
More to come….
