A few weeks ago (right before leaving for Photoshop World and vacation) I photographed the Los Tigres Del Norte concert at the Valley View Casino Center.
The night did not start off well. The lighting for the opening acts was low, flat and boring and I did not have high hopes for the shoot. I don’t think I have ever been more wrong. At some point a very talented lighting director took over, turned on the lights and blew me away with some of the most enjoyable lighting I have shot in a while.
Los Tigres del Norte (The Tigers of the North) is an ensemble based out of San Jose, California, with origins in Rosa Morada, a sindicatura in Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico. The band has won five Latin Grammy Awards and sold 32 million records. The are highly energetic and put on a great show.
All photos taken with the Nikon D4 and the 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses and captured on XQD memory cards.
