Last night I got to photograph Lita Ford in concert. It nearly didn’t happen. This is one of those stories that happens to concert photographers and most of the time it doesn’t have a happy ending. This time it did. I showed up at the box office with plenty of time and went to the will call window where I handed over my id. The young woman then informed me that I was on the list for a ticket but nothing else. Since I was there to photograph the show I was surprised and asked her if she could please check with the tour manager since I had a confirmation email with me from the person who arranged the photo pass. At the same time I shot a quick email off to the band’s management but honestly didn’t have much hope since it was 7:45 pm on a Sunday night. But I was wrong, not only did the email get answered, within 15 minutes I was handed a photo pass and allowed to bring my cameras into the building.
I really enjoyed the show and Lita can shred and belt it out with the best of them. Gary Hoey on guitar was a nice touch and the interplay between Lita and Gary was great.
All Images shot with Nikon D3 and Nikon D700 and Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses. All images were captured on Hoodman RAW 16GB CompactFlash cards.
A very big thank you to Andrew for getting everything sorted out especially at the last-minute.
Nice to hear a happy ending.
Glad it all worked out in the end Alan, with not too much fretting on your part (hopefully) 😉
Just curious if you ever heard Dick Morris? He wants to drug test every single high schooler!
Thank you for some other excellent article. Where else could anyone get that type of info in such a perfect approach of writing? I’ve a presentation next week, and I’m on the search for such info.
