Jason Aldean brought his Burn It Down tour to San Diego last week. Lots of beer, boots, belt buckles and people having a good time. The show was heavy on the pyro and shooting restrictions were 2 songs from the soundboard. I used the Nikon D4 with the 400mm f/2.8 and the D700 with the 70-200mm f/2.8
Lots of lights and pyro, especially for the opening number.
The most difficult thing about shooting at the soundboard is that you can’t change you angle. Shooting anything different is a challenge. I loved the way the light looked at the end of the song. Finally something different.
