Jackie Greene came to town on Wednesday for a tour ending stop at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. This is not a normal concert shoot, but more of a date night with a couple of photos thrown in. I have been photographing Jackie over the years and they shows are always great. Tuesday night was no different. There were a few sound issues during the first couple of tunes, where the monitors on stage were louder than the mains, especially if you were up front making it difficult to hear the vocals but it was all sorted out pretty quick.
So I am all for people taking photos during a concert… but seriously, this woman spent most of this song with her phone raised up trying to get it as close to Jackie as possible.
I shot everything with the Nikon D4 at ISO setting between 3200 and 12,800. Yes, you read that right, ISO 12,800 and the camera handled it beautifully.
