San Diego Comic Con 2008

It’s that time of year again. The San Diego Comic Con International was back in town this last weekend. Now comics in general don’t have much to do with photography they do have a lot to do with Photoshop. I do some prep work with colorists working on some of the biggest titles in comics [...]

IPhone

WordPress has released a great little app for the iPhone and iPod touch. This entry was written sitting on the couch using the iPod touch. We will see if this can be used regularly. Time will tell.

Dana Fuchs in Los Angeles

Earlier this year, while out in New York photographing Bob Weir and RatDog at the Beacon Theatre, I had the pleasure of meeting Dana Fuchs. She is the singer/actor who played Sexy Sadie in the Beatles musical “Across the Universe”
She recently played a small showcase in Los Angeles and I was lucky enough to be [...]

Joe is a fantastic photographer. I was lucky enough to meet Joe and hear him speak in San Diego a couple of years ago.  He demonstrated the versatility of the Nikon flash system and I was hooked trying to recreate his setup.

The legal academics at Columbia Law School have done a much better job.

The website is: http://www.keepyourcopyrights.org.

Bob Weir & RatDog / Gov’t Mule at the Greek

I recently got to photograph a series of concerts by Gov’t Mule and Bob Weir & RatDog. One venue that they played was at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. This venue is run by Nederlander productions. To the regular concert goer this means nothing, but to the photographer this is a huge problem. I [...]

Unlawful photography ??

Here we go again.
Man arrested for taking a cell phone photo of a cop.

“A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Scott Conover for unlawful photography.
“He says you took a picture of me.  It’s illegal to take a picture of a law enforcement officer,” said Conover.
Conover took a picture of a sheriff’s deputy on [...]

Crazy crazy world

I sat down to write a entry on the importance of checking your camera settings before shooting and came across this article.
Father-of-three branded a ‘pervert’ - for photographing his own children in public park
“‘I repeated that the only people being being photographed were my own children. She said I could be taking pictures of just [...]
