As the venue photographer for the Valley View Casino Center, I get to photograph a wide variety of events and sports from Justin Bieber to the Harlem Globetrotters. On January 15, I was there to cover A Night of Hope with Joel and Victoria Osteen. This was my second time photographing the Osteen family in San Diego and once again they were really accommodating and friendly. The restrictions were minimal, they just asked that I didn’t walk infant of the stage or disrupt the view of any of the attendees. All photos were shot with the Nikon D750 and Nikon D4 camera bodies and the 70-200mm f/2.8 and 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor lenses. I also used the 16mm Fisheye to get the wide venue shot.
Covering this show took a little more footwork than usual. I tried to get up close and up to the furthest corners of the arena. It was important to me to show the scope of the show. This was shot with the 16mm fisheye lens shot from early the back row of the venue.
