91X Wrex The Halls 2016

Two nights, 10 bands, thousands of images. This past weekend I shot the 91X Wrex The Halls Holiday shows at the Valley View Casino Center. this year i was shooting the shows for the Valley View Casino Center and a few shots for 91X. Day one had performances by Bishop Briggs, Glass Animals, Local Natives, Band of Horses, and Beck. The first four bands were a standard 3 songs from the pit, with Beck being 3 songs from the soundboard. Day two had performances by The Young Wild, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Pierce the Veil, and Blink 182. All the day two shoots were 3 songs from the pit. All in all it was a fun shoot with a lot of cool lighting especially when used as backgrounds. My gear for the weekend was the Nikon D4 and Nikon D750 camera bodies with the 16mm, 24-70mm. 70-200mm, and the 200-500mm f/5.6 (for the Beck soundboard images).

Wrex the Halls, Day Two kicked off with The Young Wild.

Next up was AFI, you I shot for 91X. They were a last minute addition to the bill and totally rocked it.

Jimmy Eat World was up next.

It has been a long time since i shot Pierce the Veil. the never disappoint and the set they turned in at the Wrex the Halls was a blast to watch – and shoot.
